Happy Monday - BBTB Challenge and Hop

It's Monday and Monday's are always a bit brighter because the BBTB team shares each of our takes on the weeks challenge. Today is our "monthly hop" so you should be arriving to my blog from DeeDee's blog - if you missed her amazing creation this week click here to go back to her blog!

This week we were challenged by Regina to use the most adorable little phone cut from the new From my Kitchen Cartridge. I decided to show some love to my bind-it-all since I really haven't used it that much.'s a little (phone)message book :)

Since this week is our "monthly hop" and it's also our last hop for the year - since we will be taking some time off for the Christmas holiday - I have a bit of "blog candy" to offer up. Today I am offering one of the newer Christmas Cuttlebug Folders - Winter Trees to one lucky winner :) All you have to do is leave me a comment here on my blog before this coming Friday Morning - before I draw a winner. The winner will be chosen by - so make sure to leave me some contact information so I will be able to get in touch with you.

Here's a little "preview" of the cuttlebug folder winter trees up for grabs:

The fun doesn't stop here - head on over to Penny's blog (click here) to see her amazing take on this weeks challenge and enter her blog candy giveaway!d

Happy Thanksgiving - a bit early :)

Can you believe that this week is already Thanksgiving? It's just crazy how fast this year has flown - before you know it we will be starting a New Year - so so crazy!

Today I have a little card to share with you. Our challenge for BBTB was issued by Donna this week and she picked the perfect cut to showcase just before Thanksgiving. This little cornucopia is found on the paper doll dress up cartridge ( I am finding so many more uses for this cartridge then I ever thought I would. - starting to look at this more as a go to cartridge).

Here's my card:

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone! I hope that you will be able to enjoy some stress free time with the ones you love.

Happy Birthday to my sweet (BABY...shhhh) Boy

My baby turned 4 today :( It's a happy/sad day but mostly happy! Lots of fun things in store including a crazy Mom that's making a buzz rocket ship cake, hosting a birthday party, and taking lunch out with my little cutie pie :) Awh it should be an amazing day!

Anyway, I have a few SCAL files to share - but I am not going to have time to do it today- things are just too crazy and I want to enjoy every moment with Gavin. I hope to have something later this week (as one of them is a Thanksgiving idea).

Have a happy hump day :)

Crazy Few weeks ~ BBTB Challenge

Sorry I've been MIA~ my entire family came down with a mystery "flu type bug" that has lingered in my house over the past few weeks. We are just now starting to get totally back to normal and as I type my husband just told me he is starting to feel sick again - I am praying it's just something he ate...ugh I am so over having to take care of sickies :(

Anyway, so much has happened over the past few weeks beyond just being sick...Halloween (I need to share some photos), getting yet more snow (so soon in the year - the kids have already missed a day due to snow! CRAZY) I turned the big 34 last week! It really wasn't that bad - I think next year at 35 it might hit me harder....I remember when it was fun to turn a year older, I wonder why that changes?

Yes ~ it's true...I did go see Wicked for my birthday! I was spoiled and was able to attend the show last Sunday night (the "eve" of my birthday) with my husband! If you haven't seen this show - it's true it's a must see! It's an amazing show mixed with sadness, humor, and a total spin that has you leaving thinking...hmmm she really did get a bad rap. I think I am almost convinced now that the wicked witch of the west was really just misunderstood ;)

Anyway, this week over at BBTB we were challenged to use the *upper case D cut* which is a sweet little bird from the storybook cartridge. I really do love this cartridge - it has so many awesome cuts and I need to use it more often! So.... Here's what I came up with this week (it felt good to craft something!):

I hope you all have a super week! Be sure to stop by my blog on Wednesday for my free SCAL cutting file!
