U Whooo...It's Monday

Okay so I couldn't resist that :) This week over at BBTB we were challenged to use the owl card from the Wild Cards Cartridge. If you are just beginning to make cards then you definitely need to own this cartridge. While I have been making cards for a while now, I too enjoy this cartridge simply because of the fact of how quickly you can cut, decorate and get the card into the mail ;)

Here's my take on this weeks challenge:

Make sure to stop by the BBTB site to check out the awesome cards that the other gals made this week using this cut...you will not be disappointed!

Have a super Magical (I say magical because I am heading to Disney this week) week!

Happy Monday-BBTB

Happy Monday Everyone! This morning I hear nothing as I sit and type...all of my kids are in school...after 10 years of having someone on my hip at all times...this is VERY strange! I am not sure if I like it or not I keep trying to talk to someone and no one answers...LOL.

So this week over at BBTB we were challenged to use card 2 and envelope 2 and the color yellow! I have had this lime rickey paper for a while now and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to use it. I also combined this weeks challenge with the on-going challenge/contest for Cards for Heros. If you haven't heard about cards for heros head on over to scrapstreet and see what's going on! This week Karen Russell gave away a spot in her amazing photography class...you don't want to miss all of this fun!

Here's my card:

Well, I am off to be productive with my extra time. Have a great day everyone!

Cards for Heros & BBTB

Happy Monday Everyone! We are having a beautiful day here in Colorado. My kids are enjoying their last 2 days of summer and we will be back into the daily school madness rush really soon! It's crazy to think how fast our summer has flown.

So have you heard of Cards for Heros (cardsforheros.org)? If not it's a non-profit organization devoted to bringing joy to soldiers overseas by means of handmade cards. Handmade cards are sent to soldiers and they are able to pick out cards to send back to their families. Families really enjoy getting letters from their solider....and crafters can unite and joy together to help out these families in such a simple way.

Scrapstreet.com is currently running a 3-week sponsored contest to help out! If you love Jillibean Soup, Marks Paper & Company, and Elle's Studio...you will want to check out these prizes! So what are you waiting for head on over and check it all out and get involved in a good cause...it's not too late to sign up...head on over to this thread (http://scrapstreet.com/MessageBoard/index.php?topic=55753.0) to sign up today! Why not share your talents to brighten a soldiers day!

Here's a card that I made that also happens to utilize the challenge this week from BBTB which was to use the scallop square cut from the celebrations cartridge.

I hope you will join us! Meet some new friends and also do something nice for someone else! Have a super week everyone!
