Wow I am turning into a once a week blogger...so so sad! Life has just been so crazy. We have had the sickies 3 weeks now...UGH! Last week, Ashlee was diagnosed with pneumonia! I thought for sure we were going to end up in the hospital but she was able to come home with medication. We took it easy for the rest of the week, and I think we are on the mend now (well I hope!)
I was able to complete a few projects this week. As many of you know I am in a contest over at scrapstreet.com and this week we were challenged to make a mini album. This was a BIG challenge for me as it normally takes me a few weeks to do a mini album...but I kept it simple and got it done! I also was lucky enough to receive the highest score this week! Woohoo! This is the last week of the contest, the scores are close, and it's the most difficult week of all! I "had a hit" (it's a mafia game) put on me and I have to complete a layout about myself along with 4 cards using the scraps...this is going to be a challenge! So I hope to be able to pull it off!
Here's my mini from the contest:
*To see close-ups of each of the pages, head on over to scrapstreet.com...you can also view the other mini albums over there as well.
Since finishing 1 mini album in under a week with a sick family wasn't enough of a challenge (LOL), I tackled another project that I have been wanting to complete. Since Ashlee started Kindergarten, Gavin has really taken an interest in his alphabet and numbers...so I thought I would make a little mini book for him and also use some Scrappin' Sports and More papers! at the same time. Here's my little teeny (it's 2.5 inches) mini alphabet album:
Also, over at BBTB this week we were challenged to use the "life is good" cut from the Graphically Speaking cartridge. This cartridge has a lot of really neat cuts on it that would be a lot of fun not only for cards & layouts but also vinyls! I can see so many of these cuts on my walls! If you do not have this cartridge, you will want to check it out. Here's my card using this cut:
Well I am going to go watch the rest of the Oscars with my husband...have a great week everyone!

Happy Monday
For all of you that have a holiday today...I am so jealous! My husband was out of the house this morning at 5am! UGH...so the kids and I are hanging out today. I am thinking that I might run out to the LSS to pick up some more BG papers as I am a few sheets short of the ambrosia line. I am working on a mini album for this weeks "contest assignment" over at scrapstreet.com.
Speaking of the contest...here's my layout that I did last week. Our assignment was to make a layout about something controversial. I chose to do mine about "parents being their kids best friends"...and laying it out more as a warning to my kids that I we will never be that parent buying beer for our kids. Anyway, here's my layout...which was not very well received this week...UGH! Not sure what they were looking for...you will have to check out the gallery over at scrapstreet to see the other entries.
Also over at BBTB we were challenged to use the "B/b" from the Alphalicioius cartridge. Here's my take on this weeks challenge:
Have a great day everyone!

Sickies...BBTB & Mafia Challenge
I have been MIA for a while...due to being sick. Last week I as taking care of sick kids and this week the cold, fever, cough thing has taken me over. I wish there was a magic pill so that I could shake this!
Over at BBTB this week we were challenged to use the home accents cartridge. I decided to make some valentine decor...so I cut mine out in vinyl and applied it to one of those "shower blocks". I am so sorry about this picture by the time I got around to taking one it was cloudy and raining...
Here's my project this week:
I am also in a scrappin' "game" called Mafia wars over at Scrapstreet. Each week we are given a "job" and our little mob group has to complete it...this last week I was shocked when I received the highest score...how cool is that?!?
Here's my layout from last week using the required sketch that "opened" along with a set of rules...head on over to scrapstreet to check out the sketch and our guidelines.)
Have a great week everyone!

BBTB Challenge~ Doodlecharm cartridge & a really super RAK
The doodlecharm cartridge is one of my favorite cartridges by Provo Craft for the cricut machine. This is a must have cartridge as it gives such a nice variety of cuts that are perfect for any season.
This week over at BBTB we were challenged to use the heart cuts from this cartridge.

Here's my take on this weeks challenge:
Aren't these papers YUMMY! They are by MLYB. They came in my monthly scrapstreet kit. If you are not a member, you are missing out! Dora packs a kit at the lowest value on the market...I just don't know how she does it! There is currently a waiting list...but if I were you I would get on it!
How about a RAK~ So you know those really cute Tilda stamps? Well my friend Sharon is giving some away over at her blog! Click here for your chance to win!
Have a super week everyone!
